During a routine inspection
We found that people's views and experiences were valued. Questionnaires and feedback from people who lived at Bethany Christian Home were integral to the running of the home. There was an assessment of people's needs prior to them moving in to the home and assessments and care plans were regularly reviewed. The home was responsive to people's changing needs and involved health and social care professionals regularly. This meant people's safety and care and welfare needs were met well.
We found the home was clean and staff were aware of infection control policies and procedures which helped reduce the likelihood of infection.
We found there was a system in place to decide staffing levels which considered people's dependency needs and was reviewed on a weekly basis. Staff were well trained and supported which enabled them to care for people with confidence.
People knew how to raise a complaint and there was a process in place for people and staff to follow. There had not been any complaints within the home over the previous six months but people were confident if they had a complaint it would be managed well.
