Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not admit any new service users to the Yew Tree Residential Care Home without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes readmissions, respite and emergency admissions.

With immediate effect, a minimum of three staff must be deployed on night shifts until evidence is provided to the commission that;
a. A robust fire evacuation procedure has been developed by a sufficiently qualified person
b. Measures are implemented to reduce the risk of service users accessing the stairwell unsupervised

Every Monday, no later than 12:00pm, the registered provider must email the Commission staffing rotas for the forthcoming 7 days detailing ensuring there is at least one member of medicines trained staff on shift every night.

By 12pm on 19 October 2022, the registered provider must email the commission evidence that a full audit of bedrails and all moving handling equipment has been undertaken by a suitably qualified person. This must include details of actions taken, or planned, to address any shortfalls found.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Yew Tree Residential Care Home.

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 18 service users at Yew Tree Residential Care Home.
