During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us they had been visited within their own homes by district nurses and occupational therapists. They told us any necessary equipment they had been assessed as requiring by the occupational therapist to promote and help them within their own home had been provided in a timely manner.
We spoke with 5 members of staff who told us they were supported by their line manager on a day to day basis and through formal supervisions and annual appraisals. Staff told us they attended regular training to enable them to care and support people.
The provider has a quality assurance system which seeks people's views which includes the recording and managing of complaints and compliments which is effective and shows any follow up actions taken by the service. There is not a consistent system for monitoring and updating staff records with regards to staff supervision, appraisal and training.
