During a routine inspection
During our inspection the provider explained that two people who lived in the home used an adapted bicycle. Each person had a three-wheeled bicycle which gave them better balance whilst riding and enabled them to take part in the activity safely. The bicycles were checked weekly and maintained to ensure they were safe to use. People told us they were very happy living in their home. One person who was not fully able to verbalise their opinion smiled and gave a big 'thumbs up'. People told us they would tell someone if they were not happy with the care or support they received.
Care plans, risk assessments and incidents were monitored by the manager to ensure people received safe, high quality care, treatment and support. An action plan was in place in the event of an emergency. This contained plans for evacuation and detailed fire training and maintenance of fire equipment. People's personal records, including medical records, were accurate and fit for purpose.
