Well-led
People and staff told us the home was well-led. The registered manager was respected and created an inclusive environment within the home. Processes were robust to ensure the home operated safely and oversight was multi-layered. Staff felt confident to speak up about concerns and there were various options for them to do so within and outside of the home.

Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
People and staff spoke positively about the registered manager. The registered manager told us they worked to make sure people were involved and were included within the home. Staff told us they felt included. The registered manager told us how they had worked to include everyone, for example, making adaptations to ensure people living with dementia could be involved and navigate the home better.
Policies and procedures reflected good practice regarding welcoming everyone. The core practices within the home were inclusive. There was an open culture which came from the management of the home.
Freedom to speak up
Staff told us they could speak out against poor practice and negative approaches. The registered manager understood their responsibilities with keeping people safe and reporting concerns.
Policies and procedures supported people and staff to speak out and raise concerns. There were various ways to raise concerns and give feedback. Records showed the systems in place were operating effectively.
