We saw that people were encouraged to do things for themselves so promoting their independence skills and self esteem. We saw that staff knocked on people's doors and respected their privacy.
We saw that people were involved in running the social activities that were held in the communal rooms. People told us they enjoyed these and took part as much as they wanted to.
We saw that people were supported by staff to meet their needs and ensure their safety and well being. One person said, 'This is the best place to live.'
Systems were in place to ensure that people were safeguarded from harm. People told us that staff supported them well and helped them. Staff knew what to do if they witnessed or suspected abuse to ensure that people were safe.
Staff received the training they needed to know how to support the people living there. Staff told us they were well supported in their role.
People were asked for their views about the home and these were listened to. One person said, 'I love it here, it's beautiful.' Audits were completed and action taken where needed to make improvements.
