During a routine inspection
Two people had complex communication needs, therefore we spent time observing how staff interacted with them, and saw that they were well supported by trained staff who knew them well.
People were treated with respect and were involved in making choices about the things that were important to them.
Information was available for people in a way that people could understand, this included pictorial information.
Staff followed advice from other professionals to ensure people's complex health needs were met.
People told us they have a choice of foods and we saw that staff encouraged people to eat a healthy and balanced diet. We saw people who needed it had a plan in place to support them to swallow and eat safely.
Staff knew how to safeguard people from harm and felt confident that if they had to report any abuse, action would be taken to protect people.
We saw people's needs were met by staff who had the support and specialist training they needed to understand and meet people's needs.
People have access to a complaints procedure and an advocate to ensure their concerns are listened to.
We saw that people's personal information was up to date, and secure which meant their confidentiality was protected.
