Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 10 service users at Shore Lodge - Care Home Learning Disabilities.
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Shore Lodge - Care Home Learning Disabilities.
The registered provider must not admit any new service users to the location Shore Lodge – Care Home
Learning Disabilities, Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford, Kent. DA2 6PB without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes existing service users who are returning to the service after an admission to hospital, and any emergency and respite admissions.
Within one week of this condition being imposed and thereafter bi monthly, the registered provider must send the Care Quality Commission a written report detailing the following:
i) The registered provider must provide risk assessments for each service user to the Care Quality Commission setting out how it will ensure risks to service users are managed in respect of choking, epilepsy and behaviours of distress. You are required to set out a separate risk assessment for each
service user and each risk, detailing the risk, mitigation, and guidance for staff to follow to ensure care and support is safe, and meets individual service users’ assessed risks.
ii) The registered provider must provide evidence to demonstrate staff who are trained and competent in positive behaviour support and reactive interventions are deployed on each shift. This report must include any monitoring data or audits undertaken to provide reassurance that those arrangements have been implemented.
iii) The registered provider must provide evidence of all relevant mental capacity assessments and best interest decisions for each service user set out in such a way to maintain service users rights under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
