During a routine inspection
Staff we spoke with had a working knowledge of safeguarding matters and we found that safeguarding policies, procedures and information were available at the service. A relative said, 'If I had any concerns I know I'd be listened to and something would be done.'
The home was clean and we saw there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. One relative told us, 'It's always very clean and tidy there.'
We concluded that staff received the appropriate support and training for their professional development. One relative said, 'The staff are well trained and are very competent.'
We found that people's personal records, staff records and other records relevant to the management of the home were accurate and fit for purpose.
