During a routine inspection
People said they were supported to be as independent as possible. This included using public transport to go shopping, attending church, going on holiday and doing their household chores.
People said there were staff around when they needed them. One person showed us the call system and said staff answered quickly when they used it.
People told us they felt safe. They gave us examples of people they could speak with if they had any concerns. For example, the manager, their keyworker or relatives. People told us staff listened to them and they would be confident telling them about anything that was upsetting them.
A visiting healthcare professional said 'I love coming here.' The person added 'They look after people well here'I have no concerns.'
We saw the provider had taken steps to protect people from the risk of abuse. There were safeguarding procedures in place and staff had undertaken training on protecting vulnerable adults from abuse. A safeguarding concern had been reported and investigated appropriately by the provider.
There were enough skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. We saw rotas were in place at the service. These showed flexible support was provided to ensure people received the assistance they required.
There were good systems for assessing and monitoring the quality of people's care. This included regular audits and visits by the provider.
