During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with four people that use the service, five members of staff and the registered manager. We observed a relaxed and supportive environment with a lot of communication between the staff and the people who use the service.

One person who was using the service we spoke with said that "staff were very nice and very kind" and another person said "it's my home". When discussing the food one person we spoke with said "there is an imaginative choice of food".

A member of staff we spoke with felt the management was "very approachable" and another member of staff felt there was "a good quality and standard of care".

A person we spoke with said "I have never seen any staff treat any resident with anything other than respect and concern'.

During a routine inspection

The people who we met and spoke to told us that they were happy with the home. They told us that the staff were kind and caring. They said that there was always plenty to do. They liked the environment, the garden and the views. People said that there was a wide range of food and that this was tasty and well prepared.

Some of the things people told us were, 'this home is perfect, I could never wish for more', 'I am treated as an individual and can live the life I want' and 'Nothing is too much trouble for the staff'.
