During a routine inspection
Relatives told us that they were involved in their family members care. We saw that relatives participated in caring for their relatives and one family brought in a wheelchair for their relation to enhance their independence. One relative told us the home has a 'friendly atmosphere which is homely and comfortable'.
People told us that the food was good and we spoke with the long standing qualified chef who showed us the home's menu. Relatives said 'the food is superb'.
People and their relatives told us that they felt safe in the service. One relative told us 'my family member is kept safe and all due care is taken'.
The staff had attended their mandatory and specialist training sessions which were up to date. The staff said they would recommend Leonora as the staff worked very hard.
The people who lived in the home, their family, friends and multi-disciplinary agencies made positive comments about the service. The registered manager regularly assessed and monitored the quality of the service provision.
