During a themed inspection looking at Dignity and Nutrition

People told us what it was like to live at this home and described how they were treated by staff and of their involvement in making choices about their care. This inspection was part of an inspection programme to assess whether older people living in care homes are treated with dignity and respect and whether their nutritional needs are met. People told us about the quality and choice of food and drink available, and said that they enjoyed the food provided.

The inspection team was led by one of two CQC inspectors joined by an Expert by

Experience; people who have experience of using services and who can provide that perspective and a practicing professional.

The manager told us that the majority of people living in this home were able to tell us about the care and support they receive. We talked to 12 people who lived in the home. They told us that that they were happy living there. Each person had self contained accommodation and they said that they were encouraged to remain independent. People said that they liked having their own flat that had a kitchenette and en suite facilities that included a shower.

People thought the care workers gave help to people as and when it was needed.
