Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must within 14 days from the date at which this condition comes into effect, carry out an assessment of the passive infrared sensor system for each service user where it is used, to ensure its use is a proportionate response to the risk of harm posed. The rationale for its use must be clearly recorded within the service user’s care record and consent obtained as necessary including in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005) where required. The provider must send a report immediately to the Care Quality Commission once this has been completed, providing an overview of how they carried out the assessment and any subsequent action taken.
The Registered Provider must provide the Care Quality Commission with a report within 14 days from the date at which this condition comes into effect and thereafter on the first Monday of each month, confirming the roles, responsibilities and accountability arrangements in the service, including how information is escalated and shared within the hierarchy of the organisation. The report must also contain any risks to service user safety that have been identified that month following the conduction of audits, along with the action to be taken to improve quality and mitigate any risk found. The report must contain updates on findings from preceding months until the action has been completed.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at The Paddocks Care Home.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 100 service users at The Paddocks Care Home.
