All Inspections
6 November 2013
During a routine inspection
At our inspection we found that people and their representatives received suitable information about the care and support and were involved in the care planning. Staff worked with other health and social care professionals to ensure people using the service received safe and effective care. People's care records and other documents were maintained and were stored securely. However, we also found that staff had not received regular supervision in accordance with the provider's policy and that there were some shortcomings in staff training regarding important areas of care like dementia and requirements of the Mental Capacity Act.
26 November and 3 December 2012
During a routine inspection
The provider had suitable safeguarding arrangements, staff mostly received adequate support and the provider’s quality assurance system was being suitably implemented. However, we also found that people who used the service were not fully protected against the risk of receiving inappropriate care due to risk assessments not always including a clear description of the ways in which risks could be controlled in people’s apartments.
