Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 49 service users at Swanton House Care Centre.
Any changes to the current management structure, including that provided by any consultancy service, must be reported to the Commission without delay. In the event, the registered provider must submit a plan detailing how they will ensure effective management within the service.
The Registered Provider must ensure, by 8 November 2017, that all care and support staff are trained in the following topics and that associated competencies are assessed so they are competent: dementia, restrictive intervention, positive behaviour support and managing behaviour that challenges, safeguarding, supporting people with mental health issues, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. All staff employed in a clinical post must receive appropriate training in order to undertake their role. This must be completed by 8 November 2017. A system should be put in place, by 8 November 2017, to ensure all staff are competent to complete their roles at all times This system should ensure competency to practice clinical skills is assessed by a person who has the appropriate skill and knowledge to do so.
