During a routine inspection
We spent time speaking with people living at the home. Comments included: ”On the whole the food is always good and there is always an alternative.” “I can visit anytime-If I ring up they will fetch X’s file to the phone and keep me informed.” “X is always lovely and clean wearing matching clothes and jewellery as she did at home they encourage X to keep her independence.” “One visitor told us: “The residents are helped to walk around instead of sitting all the time.”
We walked around the home and found it was clean and tidy. They had infection control procedures in place to reduce the risk of infection. Staff wore personal protective clothing such as plastic aprons and gloves. There were good supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE). There were good supplies of liquid soap and paper towels available and sanitising hand gels were placed around the building.
