During a routine inspection
People said they were given choices about their care and how they spent their time.
Some of the comments we received included' I like to go to bed early and watch TV, the staff always ask me what time I'd like to go to bed and are there to help me', 'we definitely have choices about what we do, I don't like set routines and the staff understand this' and 'I go out when I want to'.
They told us they saw health professionals when required for advice and treatment. They told us that staff supported their independence and comments included 'I am very happy here and well looked after'.
Staff were described as being 'polite, kind, lovely and helpful'. Some of the comments we received included: 'the staff are nice and friendly', 'the staff are brilliant, no complaints', 'we are well looked after, the staff are lovely'.
We asked people about the activities available to them and they told us that they enjoyed these and gave us examples of some of the newer activities they participated in such as the 'pub quiz' and 'food tasting'. They also told us that they enjoyed trips out to Cleethorpes and lunches at local public houses.
Relatives we spoke with during the inspection visit told us that they were very satisfied with the care provided to their relatives at the home. Comments included ' I'm extremely happy with the care here, when I leave I know my relative is in safe hands' and 'I'm here every day, the staff are very patient and kind'.
