During a routine inspection
We spent the day observing people, their routines and interactions with staff. We spoke with four people living at the location. People indicated that they were happy with the care they received with the staff. Below are a few examples of what people told us;
'I like it here'.
'It is nice'.
'The staff are nice'.
We spoke with two visitors both were very complimentary about the care their relative received. One visitor told us; 'It is wonderful here, truly wonderful. The staff are so good, they really look after everyone well. I have got no concerns or complaints. I know that my relative is safe'.
We spoke with a district nurse. The district nurse told us that the staff and management ask for advice and support if they have any concerns about people's health and welfare. The district nurse confirmed that when they give staff instructions about how care should be provided their instructions are always followed.
We found some areas that need to be improved upon these included, care planning, record keeping and quality monitoring processes.
