Caring
People received support from staff who were kind and caring. Staff knew people well and understood what was important to people which enabled staff to become more responsive to people’s needs.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
People said they were afforded dignity and respect. People spoke positively about living at Kirk House and the care they received. Comments we received included, “I find living here fantastic compared to previous care homes”, “Staff care for me very well and the food is good” and, “The care here is very good. You won’t find better care and the staff are very kind.”
Staff recalled how they supported people, upholding dignity, and delivering compassionate care. One staff member said, “Residents are always the priority.” Another staff member said, “This place is brilliant compared to other care homes I have worked at. Staff are very friendly, and we work to ensure we are all person centred.”
Partners who were supporting the service were complimentary about the person centred care people received.
During our on-site inspection we observed people in receipt of care which was delivered by kind and caring staff. We observed warm and friendly interactions between people and staff.
