Score: 3

Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this. People and their relatives told us they were treated fairly and with dignity and respect by staff. Staff had access to various ways of raising concerns about treatment which was against the service values. Staff training, support and spot checks meant staff were consistently reminded of their responsibilities when providing support for people. People and staff were overwhelmingly complimentary about the registered manager. The service supported people with a wide range of needs, staff told us they would support people regardless of their background. It was at the heart of the service to appreciate people’s individuality; this was celebrated. Policies and procedures underpinned working practices within the service. People’s goals and intended outcomes were clear within their support plans. This was complimented by staff training, ongoing monitoring and oversight of the registered manager.
