During a routine inspection
The service was provided from accommodation shared with another sexual health service, so much of the information had been provided by the other service. However, we were told the provider had an agreement with this service and the information available was freely used by all attending this location.
We looked at the systems in place for managing consent to treatment, and we spoke with two people using the service: both told us they had been well informed during their consultation to enable them to provide informed consent. We also observed five people's consultations with their permission, and saw staff ensured consent was obtained before any care was provided.
We also reviewed the infection control processes and found these were well maintained and people were protected from the risks of infections.
We saw evidence that sufficient equipment used within the service was available at all times, and this had been well maintained and regularly serviced.
We were shown the complaints processes and records and saw that no complaints had been received about the service.
