We visited the service as we had received some concerning information.
We spent time with people and observed their interactions with each other, their environment and staff.

We spent some time with people and observed how they were communicating and what they were doing and in general people using the service appeared relaxed and at ease in their surroundings.
We spent time with people and observed that they were given time to express their needs, be involved in making some decisions and were supported in a way that was mindful of their rights to respect, dignity and privacy.
The location offers a lot for people to do which includes going out in the adapted vehicles, meeting with friends and family, attending the on site activity centre and visiting the local community.
The general sense of the location during the visit was welcoming and friendly and people appeared to be generally relaxed and at ease in their surroundings.
The local council's community team for people with learning disabilities told us that the concerns raised during the last year in relation to safeguarding adults had all been dealt with, and that improvements had been made at this home as a result.
