During a routine inspection
We saw that care was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare. People using the service had individual care plans which identified their needs and any potential risks that might occur. Staff were knowledgeable about the content of care plans and were working to deliver appropriate care and support. People were cared for by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.
Before people received care they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. Relatives and people using the service told us that they were confident that they could make their views known about the type of care they wanted to receive. We also saw that people's health, safety and welfare was protected when more than one provider was involved in their care because the provider worked in co-operation with others.
The provider had an effective system to assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. Care plans were regularly reviewed and the provider had plans for an internal audit which would identify any ways in which the service could be systematically improved.
