During an inspection in response to concerns
We found the organisation had been restructured and that the new leadership team had identified this was an area which required significant change and improvement. Steps were being taken to address these areas.
The whistle-blowing policies and procedures and the process to be followed in the event of complaints or concerns being raised was clear. However, we found that these were not always being followed in practice and therefore the board could not be assured that concerns were always being investigated in a prompt and courteous manner. There was a risk that the organisation would miss opportunities to learn from feedback and embed the necessary changes to practice. The senior leaders in the organisation understood this risk and said they would make changes to practice to address this.
