During a routine inspection
We were able to observe the experiences of people who used the service. We saw that staff treated people with dignity and respect. We saw that they were attentive and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of people's needs. Staff encouraged and supported people to make choices and be independent.
One person told us, 'They are lovely girls; they are very careful and help you to get better'. Another person said 'I like it here; if I need anything I can ask the staff, they are very helpful'.
During the inspection we spoke with all the people using the service which was eleven. The told us that they could speak to staff about any concerns they may have. One person told us "I know I can speak with the staff if I am worried".
We were able to speak with all the staff on duty at the home. All of the staff told us they felt well supported by the manager and supervisors. They told us they received regular training and they were encouraged to ask for support when needed.
All of the people using the service were aware of how to make a complaint. We saw at the visit that one person changed her room at the home that was more suitable. We saw that people had a leaflet in their rooms on how to make a complaint.
