Our view of the service
Cradley surgery is a GP practice providing primary medical services to the residents of Malvern, Worcestershire. The practice delivers from one location. The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities, diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. We carried out an announced assessment of two key questions safe and effective and we looked at 14 quality statements in total. We found evidence of safety and continuity of care throughout the patient’s journey. Staff worked collaboratively with each other and external healthcare services in assessing, planning, and delivering care to meet patient’s needs. However, we found two breaches of the legal regulation in relation to staffing and safe care and treatment. Recruitment checks and mandatory training processes for staff were not robust and risks to health and safety were not adequately assessed.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from people was positive. The practice provided us with their NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) feedback. FFT asks people if they would recommend the services they have used. Feedback from patients was positive regarding experience of care. There was a newly formed but active Patient Participation Group who told us the practice engaged with them and they felt their feedback was listened to and actioned.
