During a routine inspection
During this inspection we visited five people in their own homes and talked to them and their relatives about the care they received from AQS Homecare Dorset. All of the people we spoke with told us they were very happy with the service they received from AQS Homecare Dorset.
People told us that care workers treated them with dignity and respect and provided all the help and care they needed. They told us the carers always left their home clean and tidy and completed their personal care in a friendly and respectful manner.
One person we spoke with told us 'the care I receive from AQS is very good, I have no complaints at all'.
One relative told us AQS Homecare Dorset had done a thorough assessment of their relative's needs and ensured their relative had the gender of carer that they had asked for.
People and their relatives gave us examples of support provided with medication, personal care, food and using equipment which they reported on positively. Everyone we spoke with told us they received support from a regular team of care workers and they were able to build good relationships with these people.
We spoke with two members of staff and they all stated the agency had provided thorough training and gave them good support in order for them to provide effective personal care.
