During a routine inspection

Due to the complex needs of some of the people living at Harlow Moor Drive, they were not able to tell us in detail about their experiences. However, we did observe the interactions between staff and people being supported. We saw examples of positive engagement and staff were seen to be attentive, patient and caring. People were relaxed and staff clearly understood what people needed and how to engage them in a positive way.

During our inspection we observed the staff team providing sensitive and flexible personal care support. Staff were kind and patient and showed a good understanding of the needs of the people in their care.

People we met at the service seemed to like the staff supporting them. People looked comfortable in their surroundings and staff were readily available to offer support or assurances as necessary.

During a routine inspection

People who live at 43 Harlow Moor Drive have learning disabilities and some have communications difficulties. We were unable to talk to all of the people who live at the service about their experiences because we weren't familiar with the way they communicate individually. However, through our observations, we saw that people seemed confident in their surroundings and in their interactions with staff.

We were able to speak to one person who was very happy to be living at Harlow Moor Drive. They said that staff were very kind and helped them to keep their room tidy, helped them with their money and taking them out.
