During a routine inspection
We carried out an inspection of the One Health Group at Claremont Hospital in February 2013. We have used the information obtained during that inspection and referred to it in this report where it is relevant to the service provided at the Chatsworth Suite.
We found that people using the service were given sufficient time and information to ensure they understood their treatment before consenting to it. People were positive about the care and treatment they had received. Comments made included, "Consultant was excellent and explained everything clearly to me.", and, "I was treated as a person throughout and not a number."
People were protected by the policies in place and by staff awareness of safeguarding vulnerable adults. There were effective procedures to ensure that people's complaints were listened to and acted on.
People were cared for by competent staff. Staff employed by One Health Group received appropriate training, professional development and appraisal.
