Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
1. Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the registered provider must implement an effective governance system to assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the service provided, to include monthly audits in relation to (but not limited to) the following:
a) Assessments and reviews of each service user’s individual care needs and preferences to ensure:
i) Each service user, and/or those lawfully acting on their behalf, are involved in assessments and reviews of their needs and preferences;
ii) Clear care plans are developed and made available to staff, including agreed goals and accurate and up-to-date plans for managing risks including (without limitation) emergency evacuation procedures; and
iii) Person-centred care is provided to meet people’s individual needs and preferences
b) Management of service users’ medicines to ensure clear information and guidance are made available to staff on the administration of ‘when required’ (“PRN”) medicines and covert administration of medicines.
2. On the first Monday of every month thereafter, the Registered Provider must send to the Care Quality Commission a report outlining the outcomes of their monthly audits as referred to in Condition 1. This report must summarise audit findings, the improvement actions to be taken, who is responsible for these and timescales for completion.
