Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. On the day of assessment, we received feedback from 16 patients and a further 8 patients submitted feedback to the Care Quality Commission. All feedback was wholly positive, and patients told us that everyone was friendly and helpful. Patients commented “Always had friendly, polite and professional service”, “The practice is excellent, very professional, very respectful and the excellent treatment I've had over the years has been really good”. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. 29 patients had posted reviews on the NHS Choices website, all gave a 5-star rating.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.

We did not receive any information of concern from partner organisations.

The practice had information governance arrangements and staff were aware of the importance of protecting patients’ personal information. Staff password protected patients’ electronic care records, and paper records were stored securely and complied with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We saw the general environment helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
