During a routine inspection
Station House Dental Practice employed six part time dentists and one hygienist. The dental practice was located on two floors of a building close to the centre of Glossop. Access for people with restricted mobility was possible as the dental practice had a level access from the street, and ground floor surgeries available for treatment. There were toilet facilities for patients, and we were told that refurbishment work planned for late 2013 or early 2014 would see the creation of a ground floor disabled toilet.
We spoke with two National Health Service (NHS) patients at the dental practice. One patient said: 'The treatment is good here, and I feel comfortable coming. I'm quite a nervous patient, but they (the staff) put me at my ease, and everyone is very friendly.' A second patient said: 'It's very good here, the dentist is really good, and I don't think I would ever go anywhere else. I feel safe, and all of the staff are really friendly and put you at ease.'
