During an inspection looking at part of the service
Another person was attending for a replacement denture. They had been attending the practice for a long time and were accompanied by their supporter. The person was happy and the supporter told us they felt the dentist had been good at communicating with the person.
Further patients told us they were happy with the practice and how quickly the practice responded to the need for emergency appointments. They also said the dentists explained their treatment and its costs.
People said the reception staff were very good and would telephone them if there were changes to appointment times.
A parent attending the practice with their children spoke of how they all went into the treatment room together and how happy they were with the way they were treated.
Staff we spoke with told us about the good team working. They said everyone supported each other but the manager and deputy were particularly supportive. They told us about the good training opportunities provided for them and how further opportunities could be discussed. One member of staff spoke of how they found practice meetings gave good opportunities to raise issues. Staff said they liked working for Phoenix Dental - Kingswood.
