During a routine inspection
We spoke to relatives and people visiting and were told 'only ever received kindness and consideration' and 'staff seem to be patient'. Staff were seen to engage positively with people.
A choice of drink was made available to people at lunch time. People told us that the home provides an alternative if they do not like the meal offered.
Care plans were not always an accurate reflection of people's current needs. We received differing accounts for where one person needed to have creams applied and records showed inconsistence regarding frequency.
Most areas of the home were clean and tidy with some exceptions. One person told us that they were happy with the cleanliness of the home particularly their bedroom.
Improvements are needed in some internal audits to ensure that people are safe from water which is too hot and fire doors that cannot close on release of their magnetic hold.
