During a routine inspection
We spoke with people who were visiting the dentist on the day of our visit.
People told us they were 'Very happy' with the service they received and had used the same practice for a long time. People told us that staff were 'Good' and respected their wishes and feelings.
People told us that they were involved in making decisions about their treatment and that their dentist 'Explained things well' and took time give them information about different treatments available.
We found that people had signed to indicate their understanding and agreement to their particular treatments and that consent for this had been obtained.
We saw that clinical assessments of people had been carried out as part of their dental planning examination. We also saw that associated known risks to their health were assessed, to ensure they were kept safe from potential harm.
We found the premises were generally clean and tidy and that consideration had been given to reducing the risks of possible infection.
We saw that systems for auditing the quality of the service were in place to ensure the service could be further developed.
