During a routine inspection
Staff at the practice received training relevant to their roles, including safeguarding and infection control. There was a dedicated decontamination room for dental instruments and procedures were monitored through infection control audits. Staff were knowledgeable about safeguarding and identified some of the issues that may raise concerns for them.
There were some systems in place for monitoring the quality and safety of the service. The new manager was intending to develop these systems by introducing further audits. Safety checks, including fire equipment maintenance were carried out to ensure that the environment was safe.
