During a routine inspection
One person said, 'She's been very thorough and explained the different things I can have and how much they will cost." We found from the results of the patient satisfaction survey completed in July 2012 almost 100% of patients 'agreed' or 'strongly agreed' the treatment options were discussed clearly.'
We saw there were safeguarding procedures in place. There was also on-going training and support for staff to help keep them up-to-date with best practice. One patient we spoke with commented they felt 'reassured and in safe hands' at this practice.
The practice was clean and well maintained with good procedures in place to prevent cross infection. People we spoke with commented on how clean the surgery always was and were complimentary about the environment.
We saw staff at the practice were properly trained, worked to a professional code of conduct and kept their skills updated. Staff told us they felt very supported. They said, 'There is always help, support and advice from colleagues or the practice manager.'
There were measures in place to make sure the quality of the service was maintained or improved. Patients were regularly asked their views and their responses were used to plan and make improvements.
