During a routine inspection
People told us they received sufficient information from the service to allow them to make informed decisions about their treatment.
The service maintained a comprehensive set of policies covering all aspects of the essential standards of quality and safety. We found that staff were trained and knowledgeable with regard to the safeguarding of both vulnerable adults and children.
The service was maintained in a clean and hygienic condition with good adherence to the service's published policy relating to cleanliness and infection control. Cleaning and decontamination procedures were clearly laid down and followed by staff. One person who used the service told us, "The practice is very clean", while another person said "The whole place is very pleasant."
The service monitored performance and service delivery through periodic surveys of people who used the service, discussion within staff meetings and through the professional interaction of staff within the practice.
