During a routine inspection
Patients and their parents commented that they felt the information given to them by the orthodontist on their treatment options was very good and they had the opportunity to ask the orthodontist any questions they might have about their care.
Two patients said they were really please with the results of their treatment and their parents said 'The service is excellent' and 'I think this is a fast, efficient service.'
We found the environment to be clean, tidy and organised. We saw there were appropriate policies and procedures in place for the control of infection. The patients and parents who spoke with us told us they felt the hygiene and cleanliness of the practice was "First class".
We saw that staff were able to access training as and when they needed to and received annual appraisals of their work practices. Two patients told us 'We are not nervous at all about receiving any treatment or care from the orthodontist or the staff.'
The provider had an effective complaint and quality assurance system in place and people's views and opinions of the service were listened to and acted on where necessary.
