During a routine inspection
The patients' and the parent we spoke with were very happy with their treatment. All told us they received enough information to make a decision to have treatment. Patients we spoke with confirmed they were aware of the costs of dental treatment. They all said that the dentist told them what was happening during treatment.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection because the current guidance from the Department of Health on decontamination in dental practices was followed.
Staff were supported to carry out their role. One member of staff said "They've given me a lot of support. They've always been really good"
The practice had systems in place to gather and respond to patients' views on the service. Effective quality assurance processes were in place including clinical audits that informed improvement in treatment and treatment co-ordination.
What patients' told us:
"It's the best dentist I've ever been to and I have been to quite a few"
"I'm really happy with the service I and my children get"
"They always check my medical history. They show me the form. If I need to change anything I do and I sign it"
"I was given good oral hygiene advice to follow between treatments"
"The dentist always tells me what he is doing"
