During a routine inspection
Patients were involved in making decisions about their treatment plans, were given explanations about options available and were informed of costs. Information about treatment costs was displayed in the waiting area. In addition to the three patients we spoke with, three of the staff told us that they were also patients at the practice and received good dental care.
One patient said that others in their family also used the same service. Another patient said that they had been able to book an emergency appointment easily when this was needed and that the dentist always encouraged regular check up appointments to maintain good dental health. The third patient said that the dentist always asked them about their general health and medicines they may be taking before starting their checks or treatment.
Patients we spoke with said the practice was always clean and tidy and that the dentist always washed their hands before starting any treatments.
The three patients were complimentary about the service they received and the dental staff who provided it. They said they found the staff welcoming, friendly and polite.
