During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found that the required improvements had been made. Clear infection control procedures were now in place.

A person who had previously been with another dentist said they "would never go back". They said they had "a relatively low pain threshold and used to dread going to the other dentist but doesn't dread coming here". They told us they could not fault the practice. They told us that removing teeth was a last resort for the practice and "suggested to others who have had a bad experience that they should go to the Somerford dental practice".
Treatments available for people who attended the practice included examinations, fillings and root treatments. In addition there were cosmetic procedures including crowns, bridges and teeth.
A new decontamination room had been identified but was not yet in use. Dr Cutler told us of their plans for the decontamination room he was able to demonstrate a sound understanding of what was required in order to comply with the requirements of the HTM01-05 and was confident that the practice would comply with this regulation once the new room was in situ.
Each person told us they would not hesitate to speak with if they had any
concerns.
