During a routine inspection
Patients told us they were happy with the treatment they received. One said, 'I'm very satisfied with the treatment; otherwise I'd go elsewhere'. Most patients told us they were asked about changes in their medical condition each time they attended the practice. This ensured staff were aware of any associated medical risks.
The practice was clean and hygienic. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff demonstrated an understanding of the principles of infection control and were aware of their roles and responsibilities. Instruments were sterilised in a purpose built room that complied with best practice guidance.
The provider used patient satisfaction surveys to seek the views of patients using the service. Feedback showed that all respondents 'would recommend the practice' to others. An annual audit, covering most aspects of the service, was used to improve the quality of service provided.
