During a routine inspection
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured patients' safety and welfare. The provider explained that every new patient completed and signed a medical history questionnaire before their treatment was started.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. We observed the practice was clean and well decorated, and this was confirmed by the patients we interviewed.
We found the service had recruitment policies and procedures in place that the registered manager followed when employing new members of staff. We saw records to confirm that all clinical staff working at the practice had professional registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
We saw a copy of the complaints procedure displayed in the reception room at the clinic. It included details of other agencies that people could escalate their complaint to should they not be happy with the outcome of how their complaint was managed.
