Our view of the service
Bluebird Care (Thurrock and Castlepoint) provides personal care and support to people in their own homes. This service is a domiciliary care agency. We carried out our planned on-site assessment on 23 August 2024. Off site assessment activity started on 21 August 2024 and ended on 30 August 2024. At the time of our assessment 31 people were being supported with personal care by the agency. We looked at quality statements relating to areas in Safe, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led. We looked at 4 key questions, but we did not assess all quality statements during this assessment. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating.
People's experience of this service
The feedback from people and relatives demonstrated they were happy with the care and support the service provided. People were supported by staff who knew them well and who had been appropriately trained and safely recruited. Comments included, “It makes my day go quicker when staff visit, it’s like the sunshine has come out.” Another person told us, “We have so far used this service with no problems whatsoever.”
