During a routine inspection
Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.
People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan.
The provider responded appropriately to any allegation of abuse. We looked at incident records and saw that safeguarding concerns were managed appropriately. All records we looked at showed that staff were subject to a full and satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau check. Training records showed that staff were appropriately trained and qualified medical professionals.
We looked at training records for 15 members of staff and saw that they were suitably qualified and skilled to provide treatment to people.
The competence of staff to provide treatment and support was assessed regularly. The manager told us that each member of staff was regularly assessed to ensure that they were competent when providing treatment. We saw records that reflected this.
People's complaints were fully investigated and resolved, where possible, to their satisfaction. We saw records that demonstrated that the provider had investigated complaints and acted appropriately.
