During a routine inspection
We found that care was planned and delivered that took account of the residents wishes, likes and dislikes. One person told us that "the staff explained the long words to me". People were supported in their daily living activities and there was evidence of good risk assessments made together with coping strategies.
The provider had a clear safeguarding procedure and it had links to the multi-agency policy. Staff had training on safeguarding adults and additional training had been organised. Staff were conversant with the safeguarding procedures and understood when and how to report an incident.
The staff were skilled and experienced and there were sufficient staff on the rota to care for the residents. There was a manager on call who was supportive.
The home was a comfortable and pleasant environment; access to the building was restricted. The individualised rooms had en-suite facilities and a television.
