Our view of the service
Date of assessment 17 September to 30 September 2024. This was a responsive inspection triggered by our ongoing monitoring of the service. Brookdale House Care Home is a care home registered to provide personal care and accommodation for up to 27 people. At the time of the site visits there were 22 people accommodated. There was a proactive and positive culture of safety and learning. People were kept safe from the risk of abuse as staff had completed relevant training and guidance was in place. Staff assessed potential risks to people and their care needs were met safely in a manner which enabled them to still do what was important to them. There had been a recent reduction in staffing to reflect a reduction in people’s staffing needs. Staff were not all positive in their feedback about this reduction, but people still received good quality care which met their needs.
