22 De Parys Avenue is a care home registered to provide accommodation and personal care for up to 7 people living who may be living with a learning disability or autistic people. At the time of our assessment 6 people were living at the service. People have their own bedrooms and share communal areas such as a kitchen, a garden, and bathrooms. The assessment commenced on 06 March 2024 and was completed on 15 March 2024. The assessment included a site visit by one inspector. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. We looked the following quality statements in the Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive key questions as part of this assessment. Safeguarding, Involving people to manage risks, Staffing, Assessing needs, Consent to care and treatment, Independence choice and control and Equity in experience and outcomes.
